Has anyone ever gotten out a bird nest or squirrel out of a PVC vent pipe?(like furnace or sewer vent pipe)?

Has anyone ever gotten out a bird nest or squirrel out of a PVC vent pipe? (like furnace vent pipe or sewer vent pipe) If yes, did you do anything to prevent birds or squirrels from getting back in? What did you do? Please be specific and the most detailed you can. Also tell about your experience with the problem. Like issues it caused having the blockage or problem.

on furnaces i put a cap that dosent let in birdsyou can get them at home depot on vent pipes get some mess or screen material and secure it to the pipe screws or a hose clamp it wont let your furnace or w/h vent witch causes it not to work on vent pipes it makes it a slow drain or even a clog

Had to clear both from vent pipes. I hope you don’t have a PVC furnace vent though.
The birdsnest I was able to pull most out with a bent wire coat hanger then flushed the vent with a garden hose. The squirrel was jammed tight and I had to run a snake down the vent and pull him out . Nasty. To prevent it after that I just bought a piece of hardware cloth. ( 1/4 wire mesh ) and folded it over the top of the pipe and secured it with a hose clamp.
