How do drains flow on the magnetic equator?

Water goes down the drain in a counter clockwise direction in the Northern (magnetic) hemisphere, clockwise in the south.

what does it do directly on the equator??

Would toilets be effective exactly on the equator?
hmm, I did a little research. I am now intrigued

  1. Holly Pearson Said:

No toilets, no flushing…just do your thing over by a big Amazon log.

  2. Axel 52 Said:

Toilets do not drain according to the Coriolis Effect.
The mass of water isn;t big enough for the Effect to overcome the inherent turbulence.

See the Bad Astronomy Pages on this:

ADDED: Incidentally – it is the Earth’s rotation, not its magnetic field that causes the effect – so you should be asking about the actually equator – the one 90 degrees from the rotation axis!
